Lillie's Leading Legacy

History With Business

Lillie Dumas has been fascinated with antique items for over 60 years; she has an extraordinary eye for spotting valuable pieces. She was inspired to enter the world of vintage and antiques before she was ten years old. She obtained much of her inventory by traveling to European auctions across America.

The antique shop is not Lillie's first family-operated company. In fact, Ms. Dumas has an extensive history of entrepreneurship in multiply states. Lillie opened a half dozen beauty salons across Georgia and Florida. Prior to this establishment, she also opened a daycare and a clothing store for children in Kissimmee, Florida. Ms. Dumas shares her knowledge of business administration to inspire her daughters and grandsons to open their own businesses.

Ms. Dumas currently serves as the founder and the chief executive (CEO) of her dream shop named Lillie's Antiques & Things. Her daughters Debra and Dora Dumas assisted in the search for a venue and help her manage the 350-item inventory. Her grandson, Corey Jackson Jr, contributed to several portions of this website.  She is the pastor of Faithful Believers Church in the same city.

About the shop

Location

The 4,000 square-foot store holds over 350 priceless items. Ms. Dumas opened five locations prior to this one. Now, it operates in the heart of downtown Daytona Beach, Florida's vacation and NASCAR racing capital. (Only a few miles from the coastline.) Our founder transformed the location into an African American family-owned vintage and antique shop, a miracle from the Lord!
